BIOGRAPHY
I am a Puerto Rican artist who works primarily in painting and muralism. I use spray paint, oil, and acrylic to build visual narratives that explore time, space, nature, and human experience.
I was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, in 1981 and raised in Dorado. In 2002, I joined the military at the age of 21 and retired in 2023. During that time, I earned a degree from DeVry University in 2017 and later began a second bachelor's degree in painting at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
In 2023, I was included among the emerging artists portfolios at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. My work had previously been shown during Art Basel Miami in 2016. In 2024, I produced, curated and directed the exhibition Observa & Escucha at Ojo de Tigre, which combined music, video, and visual art. In 2023 assisted Quintin Rivera Toro during his Color Caribe Mural and in 2025 assisted Rafael (Rafique) Enrique Vega with his MAPR mural during the Muraleza festival.
I currently live and work in Dorado, Puerto Rico. My work is part of private collections and public murals across the island.
ARTIST STATEMENT
In my artistic practice, I craft visual narratives that explore an imaginary world, where subjects and elements that play with time, space, memory, symbolize resilience, recovery, and perseverance. After a fulfilling military career, art became my sanctuary— a space for self-expression and healing. Each piece I create not only serves as a personal reflection but also guides me towards deeper self-discovery, purpose, and growth.
My work is deeply rooted in my Puerto Rican heritage, celebrating the strength, culture, and vibrancy of my community. Through my art, I strive to honor these connections while offering a fresh perspective on universal themes of endurance and transformation. As I continue my creative journey, I embrace new challenges and invite viewers to experience this evolving narrative with me, where every project tells a unique story and invites new dialogue.
