Since I was a child, one of my favorite places to visit has been the market square. I feel that these spaces keep the living essence of our culture: from there come the mofongos, pasteles, sofrito and alcapurrias that are such a defining part of our culture. Unfortunately, there are fewer left on the island. With this work, I try to open a conversation about the importance of our farmers and our local economy.
